Greg Hardy is a former NFL player who recently transferred over to MMA to pursue a career. Just last night he blessed the MMA world with another first-round KO in just 53 seconds. The 6’5″, 265lbs monster extends his perfect MMA record to 3-0 after his last performance. The fight took place at XFN 352 which was a part of his UFC contract in which he earned on the contender series.
He is beginning to look like a serious threat to the heavyweight division of the UFC. A first-round knockout is nothing new to Greg Hardy with all of his finishes below 2 minutes of the very first round. Now that is an accolade. Even in the amateurs, his 3 wins came from a first round KO. (1:36, 0:32, 0:14).
Here is the video of Hardy smashing his opponent Rasheem Jones into another dimension with a series of huge punches that literally slumped his opponent. After Jones saw how powerful Hardy was he attempted the takedown which got him absolutely nowhere as Hardy sprawled and finished the fight. Hardy is finding huge success in the sport of MMA and his NFL background certainly is helping him too.
He is used to taking huge blows and dishing them out too. NFL includes the art of the takedown and mixed with the brutality of it it is no secret as to why he is shredding through the competition. His sheer pressure, weight and punch power, grinds his opponents into the cage or into the floor rendering them helpless as he releases a barrage of strikes to finish his fights.
